Documate 2.1

Documate 2.1
Your Mobile Office Solution

Documate 2.1 is on its way! Hot on the heels of version 2.0, the new version adds a Check-box to the component library and improved drawing in the Sketchpad component. With the addition of check-boxes you can create reusable lists (or check-lists if you prefer), or add options to your documents. Check-boxes can be formatted the same way as labels and can be set to checked or unchecked within the Template Designer. The Check-box is a simple and easy to use component that will add a tremendous amount of power to your documents!

Documate 2.0

Your Mobile Office Solution

Documate 2.0 will be available soon! This version adds a Sketch Pad component to the component library and pinch gestures to the Template Designer. With the addition of a sketch pad your documents can include line drawings to support the document content. The simple and straightforward controls are perfect for designers, landscapers, and anyone else who wants to sketch a concept for their customers.

The new pinch gestures make inserting or removing blank lines in your document template very easy! Touch two components, spread your fingers apart, and blank lines are inserted. Move your fingers closer together and blank lines are removed.

Introducing Documate!

Documate
Your Mobile Office Solution

Do you need access to your business documents on the road? Sketching out a project over lunch? Logging project time on-site? Need a client's signature? Documate can do all that and more!

Documate helps you quickly design templates for all your document needs with a simple drag and drop interface without sacrificing power or customisation.  Add logos, dates, signatures, invoices, and much more to create exactly the documents you need.

Creating a document from a template requires only a single tap, and once created documents can be shared as PDF's via e-mail or printed to any AirPrint enabled printer. Documate also supports iCloud to ensure your templates and documents are always backed up and synchronised across all devices (using the same iCloud account). Templates can be shared instantly with any other iPad from within the app.

After launching, Documate presents both existing documents and templates. If you wish to edit or otherwise use an existing document, a single tap will open it. Tapping a template will create a new document from that template.

After the document is complete, you can choose to send it as a PDF or print it.

If a new template is required, press the designer button. The designer begins with a list of the existing templates. From here you can begin with a blank template, edit an existing one, or even create a copy of an existing template.

Creating a template is straightforward. Simply drag the components you need onto the form from the list at the bottom-left. Then drop the components where you want them. Once placed, components can be configured for size, layout, font, colour, and several other options.

That's it! Now you have a new template and can begin using it to create documents immediately.

By pressing the Enable Sharing button on the bottom of the screen you can instantly share templates with any other Documate user.
